Countless historic sites and landmarks tell the proud role Cape Cod has played in American history beginning with the Pilgrims first landing in 1620. It is truly a magical place built on the shifting sands left behind from the last great Ice Age. Our personal guide from the Cape will stay with us for the duration of our stay and will provide a wealth of knowledge as we visit Hyannis, Provincetown and our whale-watching excursion. Good Morning! Welcome one and all to the Maple Leaf Lounge at the Kingston Shrine Club, 3260 Princess Street at Collins Bay Road. (All departure points and times listed below). Coach boarding will begin at 7:00 am at the Kingston Shrine Club for a 7:30 am departure. With new friends and travelling companions, we will travel east towards the state of Massachusetts. Welcome to Massachusetts, the “Bay State” and the sandy shores of Cape Cod! Day 2 Cape Cod & Martha's Vineyard - Maple Leaf Tours | Tour | Travel | Cruise (11) Tuesday, September 10

Enjoy breakfast this morning at our resort and get ready for an awesome day of touring! Our local guide will meet us at our resort for a full day of touring. Our local guide will meet you at your hotel for a full day of touring. You will travel historic Route 6A, the Old King’s Highway, a scenic byway winding through centuries of Cape Cod history. It winds past hundreds of historic structures which characterize its early development. View a Windmill, a Cape Cod Lighthouse and visit the Cape Cod National Seashore Visitor’s Center. Sand dunes and the ocean surround you as you approach “Land’s End” – Provincetown. You are now at the extreme tip of Cape Cod. Formerly known as the “Province Lands” the pilgrims landed here first before they decided to settle across the Bay in Plymouth. Take some time to enjoy the wonderful variety of restaurants, shops, and galleries that make this artists/fishermen village so unique. Enjoy lunch on your own today in Provincetown, there’s something for everyone! This afternoon, we’ll board an excursion vessel for an amazing experience of a 3 hour whale watching excursion. We will travel into the natural habitat of a diverse marine environment including birds that migrate here from all over the Atlantic, and fish which use these shallow waters to feed. Try to spot Humpback, Minke, and Fin Whales going about their daily business. An onboard naturalist will introduce you to everything you see and will answer any of your questions about the whales, birds, fish, and lighthouses.
OR YOU MAY CHOOSE TO STAY ON DRY LAND: If you choose to stay on shore, you can experience a onehour Dune Tour excursion. Ride through the protected lands of the Cape Cod National Seashore, the largest protected coastline in the country. Your driver/guide will point out the “dune shacks” where famous artists and writers became inspired to create their art. This evening we’ll have another included dinner as our wonderful day comes to a close. (B) (D)

Day 3 Cape Cod & Martha's Vineyard - Maple Leaf Tours | Tour | Travel | Cruise (12) Wednesday, September 11

Again this morning, breakfast is included at our resort before our local guide meets us at our hotel and will escort you across the street to the Hy-Line Docks for ticketing and boarding of the 9:00 am ferry to the island of Martha’s Vineyard. Upon arrival at 10:00 am, you will board a local bus for a Sightseeing Tour. You will learn about the history and lifestyles of the islanders as you pass through Vineyard Haven. There will be free time for lunch and shopping in the historic whaling town of Edgartown. Complete your day on the island in Oak Bluffs. You may choose to stroll through “Cottage City” with its brightly painted cottages and decorative “gingerbread” trim. We’ll depart the island at 3:35 pm and this evening we’ll experience a Cape Cod delight – a Lobster dinner! Alternate entrées will be available for any “landlubbers” not wishing to eat shellfish. Day 4 Cape Cod & Martha's Vineyard - Maple Leaf Tours | Tour | Travel | Cruise (13) Thursday, September 12

We will share breakfast again today before we head out for another wonderful day of touring! Our Local guide will meet us at your hotel and you will travel to Wareham for a cranberry bog tour by A.D. Makepeace, the world’s largest cranberry grower. Your bog guide will show you examples of an existing bog, currently in production, and will discuss the stages of the cranberry growing process. There are two methods of harvesting, and you may even see it happening. Learn from the expert cranberry growers about farming and harvesting this fruit named “craneberry” by the Pilgrims. Next, we will travel to America’s Hometown – Plymouth. Home of our Pilgrim Fathers and one of the country’s first settlements, it is well known in the United States for its historical value. A picture stop will be made at the Forefather’s Monument, the largest, solid granite monument in the United States. She stands facing the harbor, welcoming those who come by water. A picture stop will also be made at Plymouth Rock, the traditional site of disembarkation of the Pilgrims in 1620. View the newly restored Mayflower II, a reproduction of the ship that brought the Pilgrims to the New World. We’ll board a Lobster Tales Cruise to learn about the many creatures that live-in Plymouth Harbor. Experience a “hands on” approach to see how lobsters are harvested from their natural environment. Roll up your sleeves to help haul in lobster traps. To finish our day on the cape, we’ll have a farewell dinner together and share our stories of our adventures on the Cape. (B, D)

Day 5 Cape Cod & Martha's Vineyard - Maple Leaf Tours | Tour | Travel | Cruise (14) Friday, September 13

We will share one more breakfast together before we check out of the hotel and before heading home. Depart Cape Cod with sand in your shoes, seashells in your pocket and many fond memories of your tour Maple Leaf Tour to “Olde Cape Cod” with thought of returning again! (B)
