Aerotek is currently seeking to hire experienced Fabricators for a growing facility in Salem, OR. Ideally seeking experience with metal fabrication and structural fitting/layouts. This role will be full-time, M-F swing shift (5/10hr),offers $20-$30hr DOE. **MUST be comfortable working overtime**

Description:Fabricate special tools, equipment, fixtures, and jigs

Weld structural members using electric arc welding equipment according to customer specifications

Must be able to read weld blueprints and symbols

Use of various fabrication tools (plasma cutters, torches, grinders, sanders, welding equipment as needed)

Ability to layout/fit up parts according to specifications

Additional Skills & Qualifications:Must be able to read weld prints and symbols

Maintain a clean and safe working environment and a hazard free workplace, free of obstructions and obstacles.

Layout, cut, and fit material for welding.

Weld structural members using electric arc welding equipment according to customer specifications.

Perform cutting and hole making operations.

Monitor workmanship and trouble shoot non-conformances.

Perform plasma and oxy/fuel cutting processes.

Fabricate special tools, equipment, fixtures, and jigs.

Weld on stationary and non-stationary items utilizing motorized rollers.

Utilize layout techniques for placing parts for weldments.

Work in a safe and careful manner practicing good use of personal protective equipment and exemplary safety when handling or transporting materials.

Ensure that non-conformance reports are prepared, as appropriate, explaining all causes and instances of damages incurred to material, equipment, or the facilities as observed.
